WCC -       Activities in Review

Club watched Bill Mason’s whitewater canoeing video and a 1934 Canadian movie of incredible canoe maneuvers (how do they do that anyway?) at a club meeting.
        
Whitewater day trip on the Stilliguamish North Fork. Bob, Geneva, Charlene, Steve, Joan, Donn, and Don Bottles spent a chilly day  watching eagles and  trying to stay warm.
                           
Tim Schultz showed slides of a trip he guided to Kenya and Tanzania.
 
Usually for the summer months, May through August we meet at lake Padden every Tuesday evening.   Paddle skills were worked on, and potluck dinners were enjoyed.  Ron & Dianne have provided excellent instruction covering basic skills through freestyle  maneuvers.
 
A day-paddles on the lower Nooksack provide entertainment.
 
Bob coordinated a  two-day whitewater clinic. Bob, Donn, and Victor attended , day one on the Stilliguamish and day two on the Lower Sauk. 
A weekend paddle on Lake Samish with Joan and Steve hosting an overnight camp-out.
 
A group of eleven  Club members and friends spent 10 incredible days paddling the Bowron LakesChain in B.C. A more perfect trip couldn’t have been planned.  Pictures and slides of the Bowron Lakes trip were shared at the meeting.
